Wood-Horse, Fogo Island - Seldom

Continuing with the theme of wood, this is the the most beautiful object I think i've ever seen. It's a long, thick log with steel poles for 'legs' and 'arms' which hold the tree stumps in place whilst they are cut into firewood. There two pictures show the wood-horse in use in both the summer and winter months and as you can see has a certain animal quality to it. When ever I go past I look out for it....
